Futures Tour Badgemore Park

Futures Tour Badgemore Park

The Futures tour moved onto its third event of the year at Badgemore Park in Henley. It was a stunning day and scoring conditions were ideal. The U12 net section was won by Daniel Butteriss (Wexham Park) with a fine 67. This beat Harvey Cooper (Huntercombe) by two strokes who fired a solid net 69. In the gross section Rio Mercer-Marsden (Castle Royle) took the title in just his second event with a fine 79. This beat Simon Mead (Newbury & Crookham) who was three strokes back after an 82.

In the U14 net category Ollie Mayard (Drayton Park) shot a best net score of the day 66 which beat Ollie Lewis (Wokefield Park) by three. In the U14 gross section there was a tie with two players scoring 80. Losing out on countback was Oliver Gouldby (Hadden Hill). Taking the title was Tom Stephenson-Green (Frilford Heath).

Taking home the U15 net title was Charlie Robb (Buckingham) who scored 70 and this was good enough to beat Harry Thomas (Frilford Heath) on countback. The gross section was won by Charlie Roper (The Berkshire) who fired a best gross of the day 73. This beat Finlay Szafnauer (Frilford Heath) by a single stroke.

Once again our thanks must go to the staff at Badgemore Park for their hospitality throughout the day and for allowing us to play. The Futures Tour heads to Hadden Hill next on June 1st.
