Josh goes bogey-free!

Josh goes bogey-free!

The BB&O U16 Futures Tour returned to Sand Martins Golf Club on Tuesday 27th August. The sun continues to shine on our visits to Sand Martins as 51 players were competing for Order of Merit points. With only a few Futures Tour events left this season, the pressure was building as only the Top 15 in each age division are awarded Order of Merit points. Arthur Scott (Reading) had a fantastic front nine which catapulted him into the lead in the U12’s division until Sebastian Duffield used his home advantage to shoot 75 and win the U12’s by 5 shots. Himal Gurung (Woburn) clawed back a score after shooting -1 on the back nine to shoot 73 and take the lead in the U14’s division. Olly Hunt (Hazlemere) had a very steady round of 74 to take charge in the U16’s. The real battle of the day was between Archie Sollis Tadmarton Heath) and Josh Waldegrave (Beaconsfield), Archie had flawless back nine including a birdie, birdie finish to shoot 68 (-2). However, Josh was able match Archie’s birdie, birdie finish to shoot a bogey-free 67 and take the U16’s title.

Congratulations to Seb, Himal and Josh!
