Harry wins U16 Futures Tour

The next stop for the U16 Futures Tour was Buckingham Golf Club on Tuesday 20th August. The event started in very damp and windy conditions but it soon improved as the second half of the field got their round started. Despite the challenging conditions, Seb Duffield (Sand Martins) was -1 after 9 holes but a triple bogey on 17 would’ve left a sour taste after he finished +1 for the event winning the U12s division. Jack Grant (Wexham Park) had a great round and won the U12s nett prize with a 68. Isaac Hayes (Feldon Valley) had 6 birdies on his way to lead the U14s division with a gross 72, 6 shots ahead of his nearest competitor. Ruofan Hu (Easthampstead) won the U14s nett with a -3 par, 69. In the U16s, Jakob Payne (Bicester) shot 76 which was good enough to sneak ahead of Harvey Cooper (Castle Royle) on count back. Harry Stachura (Drayton Park), who just returned from representing BB&O in the English Junior Champion Club,  shot level par on the back nine to clinch the U16s division with a gross 75.

Congratulations to Seb, Isaac and Harry!
