Defending Champion David Langley (Castle Royle) shot two rounds of 70 to finish 4 under par and beat George Bell (Stoke Park) to retain his title at Buckinghamshire on 6th August. Trailing by one after the morning round he had 4 birdies in the afternoon and could even afford to drop a shot at the last to become only the 6th player since 1954 to defend the title.
