Junior Order of Merit

Junior Order of Merit

Conor Gough had a remarkable round of 62 at Stoke Park in the Junior Open on 25th August. A birdie – eagle start, but a bogey at the par 5 saw him out in a 2 under par 34. Seven more birdies on the back nine and no dropped shots, he finished with a flourish by birdieing the 18th which brought him home in 28 shots. Not a bad round of golf in my humble opinion!!

With just 2 events left in the Junior Order of Merit, it is very tight at the top with four players in with a chance. Charlie Herbert (Harewood Downs) leads the way by just a few points with Harrison Arnold (East Berkshire) in second and Kristian Tannum-Donaldson (Buckinghamshire) in 3rd spot.
