Marcus wins at Ellesborough

The Futures Tour headed to Ellesborough Golf Club on Wednesday 9th April for the first event of the season. The firm ground and gusty wind proved challenging for the players, the 10th hole was closed for maintenance so the event took place over 17 holes. Marcus Smith (Castle Royle) led the way in the U16’s division with a gross +4, winning on count back to Isaac Hayes (Feldon Valley). Josh Waldegrave (Beaconsfield) sat 1 shot back on +5. Rhian Morjaria (Woburn) made an impact on his Futures Tour debut after shooting +9 to win the U14’s gross division, 2 shots ahead of Dominic Rosser (The Caversham). Beau Wheeler (Burford) went out early and set the pace for the U12’s with a score of +13. However this was soon beaten as Arthur Scott (The Caversham) finished +10 to win the U12’s prize, 2 shots ahead of Reuben Crighton (Lambourne).

Congratulations to Marcus, Rhian & Arthur ơn winning their respective age divisions.
