Matthew is Handicap Champion

The BB&O Handicap Championship was contested at Ellesborough Golf Club on Thursday 6th July. The calm conditions made for perfect golfing weather however the golf course proved to be a challenge for the players. Lee Irvine from Sand Martins stepped up to the challenge producing a great score of 37 points. Matthew Benson (Ellesborough) used his local knowledge to sneak into the lead with 39 points. Tim Bowley (Bird Hills) played to his handicap shooting 36 points to finish in third position. Steve McIntyre (Wokefield Park) had 34 points finishing in 4th sneaking ahead of Mark Richards (Princes Risborough) on count back. 

Congratulations to Matthew on becoming the BB&O Handicap Championship in 2023.
