Nick is Handicap Champion

East Berkshire Golf Club held the BB&O Handicap Championship on Thursday 20th June. Over forty players from across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire competed for their chance to lift the trophy. The course was presented beautifully but proved a challenge with the thick rough and slick greens. It was no mean feat for Jim Wilson (Donnington Valley) as he had 21 points on the back nine on his way to setting the clubhouse target of 39 points. However, this was soon beaten as Nick Cobb from Ivinghoe, had 8 points in his last 3 holes to finish with 41 points. It proved to be a difficult day on the course for the defending champion, Matthew Benson as he was unable to beat Nick’s score. Lee Collins (Chiltern Forest) got off to a fast start but just fell short with 38 points.

Congratulation to Nick on being crowned the BB&O Handicap Champion.
