Ollie wins at Hadden Hill

Ollie wins at Hadden Hill

It was a challenging day at Hadden Hill for the U16 Futures Tour as the cold temperature and wind proved difficult. Ollie O’Dell (The Springs) had a steady round and set the pace with a 76 in the U14’s division. Isaac Hayes’ (Feldon Valley) three consecutive birdies on the back nine helped him sneak into 2nd place ahead of Himal Gurung (Woburn). Jasper Wheeler (Beaconsfield) carded a nett 71 to win the U14 nett category. Matthew Gough (The Springs) lead the U16’s division, 1 shot ahead of Joseph Carpenter (The Wychwood) and Joe Swaine (The Springs), until Harry Stachura (Drayton Park) carded a 78 to take the win. Reuben Crighton (Lambourne) lead the way in the U12’s division one shot ahead of Beau Wheeler (Burford). Aneesh Singh (Castle Royle) crept ahead of Reuben after a very steady front nine resulted in a gross 86. Mason Hayes (Feldon Valley) beat Jack Grant (Wexham Park) on count back for the U12’s nett prize.

Congratulations to Harry, Ollie and Aneesh on winning their respective age categories.

With only 2 players shooting nett level par or better it highlights how challenging the conditions were. Thank you to everyone who competed and to Hadden Hill for hosting a great event!
