Rhodes clinches victory

The final Senior Winter Series took place at The Caversham – Home of Reading Golf Club on Thursday 31st March. The freezing weather and snow showers resulted in very difficult conditions. Dan MacFarlane (Maidenhead) took the top spot with 28 scratch stableford points, with sporadic snow showers the perseverance of the final few groups was critical. Stewart Dalgarno (The Wychwood) had a great round which resulted in 32 points, this score seemed hard to beat as the snow showers continued. In the last group, Justin Rhodes (Woburn) and Johnny Griggs (Maidenhead) both knuckled down and were able to match Stewart’s 32 points. Justin’s very steady level par back nine was enough for him to clinch the victory on count back.

Thank you to The Caversham for hosting a great event!
