Sollis wins at Ellesborough

Sollis wins at Ellesborough

The Futures Tour kicked off at Ellesborough on Monday 11th April. Logan Matthews (Bearwood Lakes) got the ball rolling with a gross 85 (net 70) which remained at the top of the leaderboard in the net competition. However, Isaac Hayes (Feldon Valley) had a solid round of 79 but he didn’t stay number 1 for too long as Sebastian Duffield (Sand Martins) beat him on count back. Congratulations to Sebastian on winning his first U12 Futures Tour.

Oakley Norbron (Wexham Park) set the pace with a net 67 in the U14 category. Edward Millbourn (The Springs) had a steady round but came up short with a net 70. Archie Sollis (Cotswolds Club) had 3 birdies on the back nine on his way to shooting 79 to take the trophy in the gross U14’s category. Freddie Wheeler (Tadmarton Heath) played very steady and shot a net 71 putting him at the top spot in the U16 net competition. James Sampson (Henley) eagled the last to shoot a gross 77 to sneak into the lead with one group left to come in. James was able to hang onto his lead to win the first U16 Futures Tour of the year.

Congratulations to all the winners today and thank you to Ellesborough for hosting a great event!
