Seb wins back to back

Seb wins back to back

The temperature soared at Beaconsfield Golf Club for the U14 Championship where 24 boys competed for their chance to be crowned champion. All eyes were on Seb Duffield as he started his defence of both the U12 & U14 Championship. Ruofan Hu (Easthampstead) set the pace after shooting a nett 67 to take the lead in the U14 nett division. Reuben Crighton (Lambourne) had a very steady round carding 84 to lead the U12’s. Ben Murphy (East Berkshire) shot level par on the back nine to finish +4 for his round and sit at the top of the U14’s leaderboard. Ben didn’t stay at the top for long as Logan Matthews (Goring & Streatley) had 4 birdies on his back nine on his way to shooting 73 (+1) – a fantastic score! Seb struggled a little on the front 9 and turned at +4 after 9 before playing his way back into contention after shooting a bogey free -3 back nine. Both Logan and Seb were tied for the lead on 73 (+1) so it went to a card count back. Seb’s flawless back nine clinched him the U12 & U14 Championship for the second year in a row.

Congratulations to Seb!
