Successful Weekend for BB&O

It was a great weekend for BB&O players as the First team took on Bedfordshire at Aspley Guise Golf Club and came away with a 8-4 win. The Seniors team headed to Essex at Chelmsford Golf Club and had a great match which ended with a 8-2 victory.

The final event in the Junior Order of Merit took place on Saturday, the Tyrrell Hatton Junior Masters at Harleyford Golf Club. Ben McFadden (Castle Royle) finished with 4 birdies in a row to storm to victory one shot ahead of Ed Davis (Studley Wood) who also had a very impressive finish as he birdied 14, 16 and eagled 17 to finish -5. Connor Jacob (Goring & Streatley) needed a good finish in the event to be victorious in the Junior Order of Merit. Connor battled it out against Ben & Ed and again had a birdie flurry on the back nine with birdies on 14, 15, 16 & 17 to finish in 3rd place on -3. Congratulations to Ben on a fantastic win!

BB&O had a strong representation at the South East Links Championship, Carl Banner (Beaconsfield) was leading after 2 rounds however couldn’t match his first two rounds and finished  15th. Taylor Paul (Harleyford) had a very steady event finishing 10th and Rory Browne (Feldon Valley) was BB&O’s highest finisher on +3 for the event and T5.
