U16’s beat both Middlesex and Bedfordshire

The U16’s had our first triangular match against Beds and Middlesex at the Bucks yesterday. We had a super day, and I am delighted to report that we won both matches (BB&O 5.5 Vs 2.5 Beds, BB&O 6 Vs 2 Middlesex)

Some good golf was played all round. What impressed me the most, was the fighting spirit showed by a number of our boys to turn round matches in which we were down, to secure eventual wins. Our captain Struan, along with Oscar Fuentes, Seb and Will Tate won both their matches. Oscar C won one and halved the other. Taylor fought back to secure one win. Melan was swinging well and Seb played particulalrly solidly and led from the front.

You can see the investment that Buckinghamshire have made in the course and once the work is all settled down, the course will be very impressive indeed. The greens were super as always. A big thank you to Buckinghamshire GC hosting us and for such a warm welcome.

Overall, it was a great day, a super team performance and a really positive attitude was shown by all our boys!
