U16’s V Middlesex V Bedfordshire

The U16 team travelled to Pinner Hill Golf Club to face Middlesex & Bedfordshire in the South East Group U16 League. Middlesex golf courses are known for being tight and course management a premium. Out first for BB&O was Will Tate. Will played great and was under par the whole way round which led to him winning both of his matches. Carl Banner was out second and much the same as he won both of his matches. Matin Eisa followed and again won both of his matches. A great start for BB&O with clean sweep in the first three games. Out next was the U16 Captain Struan Hancock. Struan battled hard and took both of his games down the last hole but unfortunately lost out in both. Aiden Benger got things back to winning ways and put two more points on the board. Josh Roche was out at number 6 and in a similar fashion to Struan he battled hard but lost both matches on the last hole. Huw Pearson beat his Middlesex opponent and halved against his Bedforshire opponent. The anchorman for BB&O was the in form Finlay Szafnauer and he continued his form and secured a further two points. This meant that the final scores were:

BB&O 6 – 2 Middlesex

BB&O 5.5 – 2.5 Bedfordshire

Well done to all the players and the next U16 League fixture is on Monday 13th August at East Herts.
