BB&O boys perform well at Farnham

The first mixed England Golf U18 Championship took place at Farnham Golf Club from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th of June. Edward Davis (Studley Wood) was up against it after shooting +6 over in the first round. With the cut looking to be +5 after 36 holes Ed just sneaked into Sunday after a strong -1 second round. Ed continued this fine form into the next round, shooting another 71 (-1) and with the final round being reduced to 10 holes due to the heavy rain Ed matched this with a 39 (-1) to move up the leaderboard to 23rd – a great performance. Luke Perkins (Frilford Heath) had a flurry of birdies to make the cut at -1 (T-16). Unfortunately the weather on the Sunday made the golf difficult and Luke finished +5 (29th).

Mark Dickin (Bearwood Lakes) shot 73 (+1) in the first round which he followed up with a 71 (-1) to make the cut on level par. Mark shot another 73 (+1) in the morning round on Sunday and fought back with -1 in the afternoon to finish level par and 13th for the event. Ben Loveard (Woburn) had 4 birdies on the back nine of his first round to shoot level par which he then followed up with a -3 (69) second round. Ben birdied the last two holes of his third round to shoot level par and he had an eagle on his way to shooting -1 in the afternoon. A solid performance by Ben finishing 6th on -4.

A strong performance by our U16 and U18 squad members!
