Eastern Inter Counties Foursomes

The BB&O First Team competed again at Seacroft Golf Club in the annual Eastern Inter Counties Foursomes Event. As defending champions BB&O were determined to win back to back. The morning rounds were against Norfolk and Essex. The thick rough & wind proved challenging as BB&O finished with 3 points after the morning session. BB&O were then drawn against Bedfordshire and Lincolnshire in the afternoon. Both counties proved tough opposition and BB&O scored 3.5 points in the afternoon session to finish on 6.5 total for day 1. 

BB&O needed a strong start to day 2 as they faced Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire in the morning session. The matches started on the 11th tee which meant they were playing  the first 8 holes into a very severe wind. BB&O came out fighting winning 8 points in the morning. The final session of the event was against Suffolk and Leicestershire & Rutland. The matches were very tight with most going down the final few holes. BB&O picked up 5 points in the afternoon resulting in an overall score of 19.5 points. BB&O climbed the leaderboard and finished fourth which was a great comeback after day 1.
