Futures Tour East Berkshire

A strong field of over 50 players took to East Berkshire GC to compete in the penultimate Futures Tour event of the year. The Ryder Cup in Paris was in full flow and some inspired boys took to the golf course to hopefully follow in a former BB&O players footsteps, Tyrrell Hatton. The weather was kind and the golf course was in great condition. 

The U12 net section was won by Alfie Westbrook (Frilford Heath) with a great score of 67. Just a single stroke behind after scoring 68 was Harvey Cooper (Huntercombe). The gross section was won by Simon Mead (Newbury & Crookham) with 79. Two strokes back on 81 was Billy Wood (Stoke Park).

The U14 net section was won by Teddy Devlin (Newbury & Crookham) with a best of the day 66. In second just a shot behind on 67 was Victor Matthews (Goring & Streatley). The gross section was won by Tom Stephenson-Green (Frilford Heath) with an excellent score of 72. In second just a single stroke back after scoring 73 was Edward Wang (Wokefield Park). 

The U15 net section was won by Harry Gale (Goring & Streatley) with 71. In second after scoring 73 was Charlie Lund (Sand Martins). The gross section was won by Ben Loveard (Woburn) who matched Tom Stephenson-Green’s best of the day 72. Charlie Roper (The Berkshire) was just a shot behind on 73.   

Thanks to East Berkshire for hosting a Futures Tour event for the first time and the last event of the year is at Frilford Heath on Wednesday 24th October. Entries close on Friday 12th October.
