Open Championship & Autumn Trophy

Open Championship & Autumn Trophy

Van Phillips shot a bogey free 68 (-4) at Lambourne to win the Open Championship by a shot from fellow PGA player David Stanton. In an event that has been dominated by the BB&O PGA Professionals, Conor Gough (Stoke Park) and Adam Birdseye (Maidenhead) finished third and fourth respectively with 1 under par scores of 71. Although Amateurs took six of the top ten spots, once again, they were just a little off the pace. Tom Gregory (Stoke Park) and Taylor Paul (Stoke Park) finished a further shot out with 72s to complete a very pleasing day for BB&O Juniors. Olly Huggins (Frilford Heath) was the other amateur to finish in the top ten with a 73.
